Rehabilitation/Extension Works on the Bontanga Irrigation Project in the Tolon-Kumbungu District of the Northern Region of Ghana
The project involved rehabilitation or construction/civil works on a 495 ha and consisted of 2 main canals and 26 laterals, refurbishment of dam outlet valve, surfacing and profiling of roads, and rehabilitation of fish pond, farm building and threshing floors
Rehabilitation/Extension Works on Golinga Irrigation Project in the Tolon-Kumbungu District of the Northern Region of Ghana
The project involved rehabilitation or construction/civil works on a 60 ha irrigation project and consisted of construction of spillway canals, construction of main canal lining and check structures, repair of the main canal embankment, construction of lateral canal, their lining, intake, outlets and end structures, replacement of off-take pipes with gates, dredging of the main drain and resurfacing of road.
Mr. Kwadwo Asah was engaged by SNC Lavalin, the Project Management Company (PMC) engaged by MiDA to provide expertise, quality control/quality assurance and construction supervision as the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to supervise EHS activities/aspects of the civil works.

- Undertook inspection visit to construction sites 2 times a week to monitor Contractor’s activities
- Provided training for PMC and Contractor’s teams
- Reviewed and approved Contractor’s EHS management plans
