Project Description
Construction work on a greenfield container terminal (Port) west of the existing Port of Tema in Ghana to replace the existing Tema Port. Construction works were in 2 parts – offshore and onshore works, and included construction of breakwater, dredging and reclamation, quay wall construction and associated port facilities. The project was funded by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Accordingly, E&S standards that were used to manage environmental and social aspects included the IFC Performance Standards.

Project Description
The project is part of MiDA’s compact 2 for energy sector and awarded to Best and Crompton Engineering Ghana Limited as the Contractor. Best & Crompton approached MBA Consult Limited to provide/undertake the health and safety management component of the works.

Project Description
The project involves construction of a 12 storey office complex with retail shops. A 1.70-acre land was acquired by the Client, Alvanti Properties Limited at Ridge in the Accra Metropolis for the project. The acquired land is located/situated in a built environment (area), and which is at the centre of other existing high-rise buildings such as “Ecobank Head Office Building”, “Ghana Shippers Authority” “Heritage Towers”, “World Trade Centre”, “Cedi House”, “National Theater” etc.
The Client via the Development Managers appointed MBA as the Environment, Health and Safety Consultant for the Bulk Earthworks component of the project. The Bulk Earthworks were completed in January 2016, but the building is yet to be constructed

Project Description
Rehabilitation/Extension Works on the Bontanga Irrigation Project in the Tolon-Kumbungu District of the Northern Region of Ghana
The project involved rehabilitation or construction/civil works on a 495 ha and consisted of 2 main canals and 26 laterals, refurbishment of dam outlet valve, surfacing and profiling of roads, and rehabilitation of fish pond, farm building and threshing floors Rehabilitation/Extension Works on Golinga Irrigation Project in the Tolon-Kumbungu District of the Northern Region of Ghana The project involved rehabilitation or construction/civil works on a 60 ha irrigation project and consisted of construction of spillway canals, construction of main canal lining and check structures, repair of the main canal embankment, construction of lateral canal, their lining, intake, outlets and end structures, replacement of off-take pipes with gates, dredging of the main drain and resurfacing of road.
Mr. Kwadwo Asah was engaged by SNC Lavalin, the Project Management Company (PMC) engaged by MiDA to provide expertise, quality control/quality assurance and construction supervision as the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to supervise EHS activities/aspects of the civil works.

Rehabilitation/Extension Works on the Kpong Left Bank Irrigation Project in the East of the North Tongu District of the Volta Region of Ghana
The project involved rehabilitation or construction/civil works on a 2000 ha of land under gravity for production of rice, maize and vegetables with the following key components – using the existing intake gate on the Left Bank of the Kpong Hydro Electic Dam Reservoir at Akuse, construction of 1 main canal to Sokope, construction of 2 canals to South of Nakpoe, construction of 40 persons-seater/capacity conference hall and offices to provide technical and administrative support to farmers, and establishment of a project management unit to train and support farmers.
