Project Description
Xia Honghui Mining Company Limited and Amanfi Mining Company entered into a Joint Venture (JV) in 2004 to develop a 63.0 km2 alluvial gold concession at Hiawain the Amenfi Central District of the Western Region of Ghana. MBA Consult Limited was appointed by the XIA to undertake the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) study on the proposed mining project and submit Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to Ghana’s EPA for consideration for Environmental Permit

Project Description
Emerald Mining Ventures Limited acquired a mining concession of approximately 61.09 sq.km located at Edwenase and Aduntia farming villages in Bibiani-Edwenase Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region of Ghana to prospect for gold and subsequently mine gold. MBA Consult Limited was engaged by Emerald in July 2015 to undertake the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study on the proposed gold mine. MBA Registered the proposed gold mine with Ghana EPA and proceeded to scope and prepare the scoping report which included the Terms of Reference (TOR). The scoping report was accepted and approved by Ghana’s EPA, but the project stalled after the scoping exercise.

Project Description
The Tamne Irrigation Project is a project by the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority within the Bawku Municipality, Binduru and Garu Tempane Districts of the Upper East Region of the Northern Region of Ghana. The project consisted of a net irrigable area of 1,500 ha out of the total area of 2,115 ha earmarked for the project, and will employ both gravity and lift system from the embankment dam reservoir at the downstream of the Tamne/Gagbiri confluence points.
MBA Consult Limited was engaged by the Project Managers, E. E. D Kemevor & Associates/Riosap to undertake the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Study and apply for Environmental Permit from Ghana’s EPA to allow the project to proceed.

Enclave Power Company Limited proposed to apply for and obtain licence from the Energy Commission to enable the company distribute power to companies/ factories within the Freezone Trade Enclave in Tema, Ghana. Documentation to support the application included Environmental Permit and Environmental Management Plan (EMP). MBA Consult Limited was engaged by Enclave Power to undertake the EIA study on the project and prepare EIS for submission to EPA for consideration for the permit and to also prepare EMP to manage potential impacts from the operations for consideration for License from Energy Commission of Ghana.

MBA was engaged by the listed Clients/Companies to undertake the Environmental Assessment (EA) and prepare the requisite reports (i.e. Preliminary Environmental Reports) for consideration for Environmental Permit from Ghana’s EPA.
